I'm not sure what's going to happen with Locke and Jacob, but I'm leaning toward thinking that he's just going to deal with him, rather than killing him. John had a chance to kill someone before whom he felt really deserved it, and yet didn't - his father... which brings me to my next little theory I'm just going to throw out there to have in writing in case it's right: Jacob is Locke's dad.
