I honestly don’t know why, but I have the same questionable excitement about this movie that you do. In my mind I know that there’s kind of a lot riding against the making of “Heathers 2″ but my heart is just like “What’s your damage, Matthew? It’s gonna be great!”

Yes, yes, and yes.
Oh, Heathers… loved it so much.
And I think a sequel could really be great. *Could* be. I’m still too trepidatious (that’s a word, right?) to really let myself think that it will actually be satisfyingly good. I will be prepared for a total suck-fest, and therefore will be pleasantly surprised if it’s actually decent.

Sorry but I forgot to mention the movie in question. While Winona Ryder is still very youthful looking and quite pretty, she’s a little old to pull off high school. How successful would Heathers 2 be if it dealt with a group of bitchy 30 something soccer moms? I don’t think it will have the same edge but maybe that’s just me.

Good article Court but I’m a bit alarmed. One of the most admirable qualities that you had in high school was that you got along with and saw good in everybody. Years later I find out that you actually thought someone was a BFF (we’ll just leave it at that). Human fireworks diplays and fiery limb displacement is fairly deep shit.
I’d better talk with your mother about another intervention of some sort. I think we’re up to about 12 different interventions on your behalf now and I’m getting way too old to deal with this shit.
Never mind! I’ll just trust your instincts and agree that the BFF must burn. Keep up the good work.
