Week 98 Spotlight: In which we openly wonder if anyone is listening …

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle have certainly said some objectionable things on previous podcasts, but this week they seem to be openly antagonizing their listeners.

The dynamic duo lash out at a wide range of targets, including the senator who shouted at Obama, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Nebraska, bread bowl pasta and Subway’s toasted subs. By the end of the show, they actually begin hoping that they will say something so offensive that they will be forced into giving a public apology.

Why are they being so antagonistic? What is the Double Down and why is Joel so excited about it? How did Eidos stick it to video game pirates? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

Every week, we will pick the funniest response. You won’t actually win a prize, but you will get the satisfaction of knowing that you are better than everyone else. And your name will be printed here on the site, so that others may bask in your glory.

Without further ado, here is this week’s fortune:

Happiness is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to _____.

Leave a comment with your response. The winner will be announced next Thursday.

Last week’s winner: Thor, who wrote: “Constant grinding can turn an iron rod into a stripper pole.” Congratulations Thor, for having both a hilarious entry and an awesome name.
