My first action figure was Darth Vadar. I have no idea which movie it was from, because I bought it at a yard sale when I was 8. I didn't get any other Star Wars action figures when I was a child. Sometimes I was jealous of the boys' toys.

I remember collecting and playing with the She-Ra and He-Man action figures in the 80s and all of my female friends always wanted to make them date each other. I remember being beyond frustrated trying to explain to them the difference between those toys and Barbies, for example. And even when I got She-Ra's awesome home base, the Crystal Castle, I was a little disappointed that it was pink, and that it was nothing more than a glorified doll house. (Complete with canopy bed and pink fur rug, for crying out loud!) Not at all how it was in the cartoon.

What I needed was a cool aunt or someone to buy me more action figures.

I can identify. I had an aunt who insisted on referring to my Star Wars figures as 'dolls'.

I also had that Han Solo fig, two of them in fact. The funny thig was that their faces were different colors.
