This was a great article Court. You know that I said when this first came to be that NBC had underestimated the appeal of Leno. I knew that show would tank and was a little worried about how much Conan could appeal to all age groups. He always geared himself towards a much younger crowd and was wildly successful at it. I believe that in time he will win over everyone and he deserves the time to get it done. I’m saddened that NBC is the sponsoring network of Chuck because that’s one of the best shows on TV and it will crash to the ground along with the network. They’re on an obvious course towards self destruction and I cannot imagine what fools are calling the shots. I was happy when Silverman moved on because I thought he was a major part of the problem but I believe that Zucker may be just as bad. I’m no highly educated marketing genious but I’ve been addicted to TV my entire life and I daresay I could do a better job of making this network do well than these bozos for a fraction of their salaries. All that said I would be remiss if I didn’t dispute Chris Wells comment. I can only assume that he is young and didn’t really ever get to enjoy the brilliance that Johnny Carson brought to the Tonight Show. Everything that is the long lasting legacy of that show is due to that man. No one was funnier before nor has been since. Johnny was the master and I still laugh everytime I remember anything from his shows.

Conan O’Brien and Chuck – I’m glad you and I can put up a unified front anytime NBC stupidly screws over one of its few enjoyable shows.

You need to amend Team Leno to include the diabeetus set and 9-year-olds who think Leno is the cool late-night talk show host because now they can watch him before bedtime.

And I love how people are saying “Conan’s humor can’t work at 11:35!” Half the country was watching Conan and the Masturbating Bear at 11:35 for years, but who cares about those pesky flyover states?
