That movie is like a runaway train with no hope of stopping it. I don't care for live animation type films but even I'm curious enough to want to see it. All of the nominees for best actor are deserving but I think it might be time for Jeff Bridges to have his moment. That said, everyone has to agree that Colin Firth is just a really likeable sort of guy and I'd like to see him win recognition (if for nothing other than his career managed to survive "What a Girl Wants".)As far as best actress I also love Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep but I'm totally in love with Helen Mirren and think she should win every award she's ever nominated for. Maggie G should get BSA and might but Mo'Nique probably deserves it more and Christoph Waltz should walk away with his category. That said, yeah, nine out of 10 dentists agree that it's a decent Best Pic group. I still think five is plenty, though. I saw the trailer for A Serious Man a zillion times, but I don't think one theater in my whole soggy state carried it. My vote for best picture: Inglourious Basterds, because it's the best picture with Eli Roth & his Bear Jew-ieness.
