Week 126 Spotlight: Virginia is for lovers

Quite often on the show, Joel Murphy and Lars take shots at Lars’ city of residence – Baltimore, Maryland. While Baltimore never fails to provide reasons to mock it, this week our dynamic duo shine the spotlight on Joel’s neck of the woods – the Commonwealth of Virginia.
It seems that Gov. Robert F. McDonnell has brought back a controversial holiday that was abolished eight years ago. McDonnell has decided that April will once again be Confederate History Month, a move he hopes will boost tourism and endear him to his conservative base. It does not, however, endear him to Joel and Lars, who aren’t fans of Confederate History Month.
What do the boys have to say to Gov. McDonnell? What is NBC’s latest idiotic idea? Why aren’t you commenting on these shows? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

ROFL, 23 year old Joel was hanging out with 4 year old Lars and Lars scored all the ladies (Joel had trouble growing the mustache back then)!
Lars and Joel you’re on the way to starting a new fashion advisory service to go with your weekly fashion segment – I suggest calling it “HoboFashion”.
I love the “celebrating banging around” analogy to explain celebrating the confederacy!
