Chris,

Great post. What are you thoughts on MIB making a deal with Eli after Faraday died, being that Eli was so distraught with her son's death.

Basically giving her the same deal that he has given others throughout this season. That would explain why she has known so much and why their plans seem to somewhat align.

Chris - Don't you just love how the writers were always using famous scientists names for thier characters? (Faraday and Hawking to name two.)

Well here is another one. The white rabbit, Angstrom. Anders Ångström was a Swedish physicist, mathematician, and astronomer who is widely considered the father of spectroscopy.

http://micro.magnet.fsu.edu/optics/timeline/people/angstrom.html

I have to leave for work, or else I'd LOVE to mull this one over. However, I want you to read the following paste from the above link. In thermal conductivity studies, Ångström devised a method to quantify temperature with respect to electrical conductivity. His 1853 research on electric sparks uncovered two superimposed spectra, one from the electrode metal and the other from the gas through which it passes. Ångström's principle of spectral analysis states that incandescent gases emit rays of the same refrangibility as those they can absorb. He also studied geomagnetism.

Ok, now does that description of the superimposed spectra sound EXACTLY like the broach that Miss Ellie is wearing?

This is interesting in regards to LOST. This Wikipedia-article deals with near-death experiences and some of the described experiences are leaving ones body and "A decision by oneself or others to return to one’s body, often accompanied by a reluctance to return."

Great analysis! Lots of stuff I thought about while watching this episode and lots of stuff that I didn't notice (like Eloise's brooch).

I'm wondering how Eloise knows about all this even in the new timeline. We've seen Jack wondering about his appendix scar and other people thinking they are remembering something. The only one with the ability to fully grasp what is going on though is Desmond.

But Eloise always seems to know more. Maybe she survived an electromagnetic explosion as well. Maybe that's why Daniel named his white guinea pig (rat/mouse) after his mother. Maybe she was affected heavier than Desmond or maybe it gets stronger the more you age. Or maybe her lifeline has a lot more intersections with her alternate timeline than Desmond has.

The brooch on Eloise also looked like the mark that the Others branded Juliet with from the tribunal.

Also the markings on the trees Juliet saw.

In season 5 'This Place Is Death'. When Charlotte cops it she says something about 'marrying an American'. I think this relating to the same thing.
