Hello everyone,

Here’s what’s new on HoboTrashcan.com this week:

Review – Tombstone (Blu-ray)
If you are a fan of authentic Westerns, all-star casts or bushy mustaches, then Tombstone is your huckleberry. The memorable Western, which features a big name cast that includes Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Powers Boothe and Charlton Heston, was just released on Blu-ray and this week we have a full review.

Lost: Down the Hatch – The Day the Music Died
Chris Kirkman offers a full recap and analysis of this week’s installment of Lost, “The Candidate,” an emotional episode with a high body count. Kirkman also offers the recipe for a drink entitled “The Submarine,” which should help ease the pain caused by this emotionally-draining hour of TV.

Murphy’s Law – Jack Shephard’s redemption
Dr. Jack Shepard has been one of the most polarizing characters on Lost throughout the show’s run. Some people like him for his bravery and determination, others hate him because he often comes off as narrow-minded and self-righteous. However, after this week’s episode, Joel Murphy believes every fan will be back on Jack’s side.

Outside of the In-Crowd – Remakes, we need to have a word
While Hollywood’s remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street could have been entertaining if done well, unfortunately the writers decided to focus on a mostly glossed over implication in the original films – the allegation that Freddy Krueger is a child molester. Courtney Enlow found this twist very unsettling.

Positive Cynicism – Today’s kids couldn’t fight monsters
The original Monster Squad was a charming film about a group of kids who take on iconic movie monsters, including Dracula, Wolfman and The Mummy. Platinum Dunes has announced plans to remake the film, but Aaron R. Davis sees a big problem with the remake. In Davis’ mind, today’s kids are too soft to defeat monsters.

Hobo Radio 130 – A team of expendable losers
What role has Lindsay Lohan just signed on for? Is there any movie David Cross and Patton Oswalt won’t do? How will The Expendables address Sylvester Stallone and Mickey Rourke’s awful plastic surgeries? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
