HoboTrashcan’s five-year anniversary

Today, HoboTrashcan turns five years old.

The site has changed quite a bit through the years. (And trust me, I still cringe when I look back at the original site design.) It has continued to evolve and change over the years as we found our voice, but I really like where HoboTrashcan has ended up. With Courtney, Aaron and myself writing weekly columns, Chris Kirkman recapping Lost and Lars co-hosting Hobo Radio, this is one of the strongest, most talented group of contributors we’ve ever had on the site.

But we’ve had a lot of other talented writers and contributors pass through the doors at Hobo Headquarters over the years. I thought it would be fun to honor those past contributors by bringing a few of them back this week. Every single day, a defunct column or site feature with return for one week to run alongside the normal content you know and love.

Make sure to check back every day this week to see some familiar faces you haven’t seen on the site in a while. And definitely make sure to be here on Friday when we unveil a new weekly feature that I think you all will really enjoy.

Thank you everyone for continuing to read and support the site. You make it all worthwhile. Thanks also to Courtney, Aaron, Chris, Lars, Joelle, Hobo Stu and all of the former contributors who generously agreed to come back this week.

I’m looking forward to another five years (unless someone comes along and buys out the site, allowing me to sell out like I’ve always dreamed of).
