Hobo Radio 219 – Put down the Manischewitz
It seems Joel Murphy and Lars both had big weekends.
Joel drove up to New York City to see Jones Street Station perform, along with their opening act, The Girls. While there, he grabbed an interview with Alison Brie, who is part of The Girls, to talk about her new-found musical career and her roles on Community and Mad Men. (You can read the interview here.) Joel talks about both bands and give some behind-the-scenes details on how it all came together.
Meanwhile, Lars spent the weekend in Northern Virginia attending Seder. Being the only goyim in a room full of Jewish people led to Lars hitting the Manischewitz hard. He recounts the highlights of his memorable weekend on the show.
How did Joel snag face time with Alison Brie? How did Lars do at the Seder? What’s so funny about Dany Pudi’s last name? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
This week’s music:
- Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
- End – “The Understanding” by Jones Street Station

I think Peeps would be okay in some hot cocoa, but usually people aren’t drinking that in April :-\
