Catch up on Hobo Radio

Joel Murphy and Lars are off this week, but while you anxiously await their return next week with an all-new show, why not take this opportunity to catch up on their most recent podcasts.

In case you missed them, here are their last three shows:

Hobo Radio 220 – Remembering Dick Clark
Dick Clark, who was a legend in broadcasting, passed away this week. You’ve heard many comprehensive tributes to the man, who had an impressive career that spanned from American Bandstand to a variety of game shows to his New Year’s Rocking Eve, but you haven’t heard the dynamic duo weigh in on the man. And there’s no tribute like a Hobo Radio tribute.

But that’s not all Joel and Lars have to discuss this week. They also get a little morbid and discuss a few other beloved celebrities who are getting up there in age and, to lighten things up, they share their thoughts on some bizarre research into which color vaginas men prefer.

Can Joel and Lars handle doing a graceful tribute to Dick Clark? What’s the one thing Greg always does when the gang gets together? Do men prefer women with red vaginas? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

Hobo Radio 219 – Put down the Manischewitz
It seems Joel Murphy and Lars both had big weekends.

Joel drove up to New York City to see Jones Street Station perform, along with their opening act, The Girls. While there, he grabbed an interview with Alison Brie, who is part of The Girls, to talk about her new-found musical career and her roles on Community and Mad Men. Joel talks about both bands and give some behind-the-scenes details on how it all came together.

Meanwhile, Lars spent the weekend in Northern Virginia attending Seder. Being the only goyim in a room full of Jewish people led to Lars hitting the Manischewitz hard. He recounts the highlights of his memorable weekend on the show.

How did Joel snag face time with Alison Brie? How did Lars do at the Seder? What’s so funny about Dany Pudi’s last name? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

Hobo Radio 218 – Grumpy old men
The boys return from their hiatus with an all-new show. And there’s been a big change since they last were on the air – Lars is now 30.

While this hasn’t led to a midlife crisis or the buying of any sports cars, it has made Lars less patient with the world around him. Both he and Joel Murphy have officially become grumpy old men yelling at any young whippersnappers who wander into their lawns looking to receive any lost Frisbees.

What’s it like being 30? How can you make cereal for 30-year-olds less depressing? What band does Joel prefer to The Beatles? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
