Hello everyone,

First of all, congratulations are in order for ShagEaredVillain and Emma, who placed first and second in our first ever Caption This contest. They both won DVDs courtesy of TVFlashbacks.com.

It seems you guys really enjoyed the caption contest and we got a lot of really great responses, so we’ll have to try and do more fun stuff like that in the future.

In the meantime, make sure to check out everything else on the site, including our post about the Tumbler from The Dark Knight Rises, which is what inspired the photo caption contest in the first place.

Here’s what’s new on HoboTrashcan.com this week:

Hanging Around … The Dark Knight Rises Tumbler and Bat-pod Tour
This Memorial Day, Batman could be seen patrolling the streets of Baltimore with his trusty Tumbler Batmobile and his Bat-pod motorcycle parked nearby.

No, this wasn’t some sort of Wire-style crackdown on crime in Charm City. This was part of a nationwide tour to promote the final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, which debuts in theaters July 20.

Review – Snow White and the Huntsman
Snow White and the Hunstman has looked quite stunning in the trailers, but is it all style and no substance? We have an in-depth review of the film, letting you know whether or not it’s worth your hard-earned money.

Positive Cynicism – DC Comics: still not as progressive as Archie
DC Comics announced that one of its characters would be revealed to be gay. While Aaron R. Davis would like to think this is a step in the right direction, he can’t help worrying that it’s little more than a publicity stunt designed to grab headlines and sell more comics.

From the Vault – Murphy’s Law – Planking should not be a thing
In this column from last year, Joel Murphy takes on a vile trend that infected cities across this great nation – planking. Planking seems to have died down for now, but we recommend familiarizing yourself with this column so that you are never tempted to try and bring it back.

Hobo Radio 224 – The rise of the face-eating zombies
Last week on the show, Joel Murphy and Lars were discussing how most of the crazy news stories in this country originate in Florida. Proving their point is the big story this week, which involved a naked man eating another man’s face in a drug fueled, zombie-like attack, which, of course, happened in Miami. The dynamic duo breaks down this story from every angle, giving you the ridiculous Hobo Radio coverage you’ve come to expect.

They also discuss the delay of the new G.I. Joe movie, which has been pushed back nine months, supposedly to convert the movie to 3D. A delay like that is never a good sign, so this week the boys brainstorm ways to fix terrible movies without delaying a film’s release. They also talk about snake handling ministers.
