Hello everyone,

Here’s what’s new on HoboTrashcan.com this week:

One on One with Billy West, Pt. II
To say Billy West has had an eclectic career would be an understatement. From playing in rock bands to being a noted radio personality to doing voice work for Space Jam, Ren and Stimpy and Futurama, West has made a living off of his impressive pipes. We recently talked to him about his career and his personal struggles. This is part two of that interview, in which he opens up about his struggles with depression, drugs and alcohol and how it feels to come out happy and sober on the other side.

Hobo Radio 253 – Billy West
The print version of our interview with Billy West was split into two parts. But now, you can also listen to the interview in it’s entirety in this special Hobo Radio podcast. The almost hour-long interview includes West doing a few of his trademark voices and him opening up about his rough childhood and struggles with addiction. And it includes a song by West’s band – Billy West and the Grief Counselors. You are going to want to listen to this.

Doctor Who – “Hide”: What’s in my pocket?
When is a ghost story not really a ghost story? When it’s part of an episode of Doctor Who. This week, The Doctor and Clara travel to 1974 to investigate the “Witch of the Well” inside Caliburn mansion. But it quickly becomes apparent that things are not at all what they seem. The actual explanation for the witch ends up being full of “wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey” goodness. We have a complete breakdown of “Hide,” as well as some in-depth musings on the scientific explanation of the supernatural phenomenon in the episode, in our review.

Positive Cynicism – Kate Upton and the next level of sexism
Finding out that P. Diddy and Kate Upton were spotted getting frisky with one another opened a bizarre can of worms for Aaron R. Davis. He found himself wondering – for some inexplicable reason – how this decision would effect Kate Upton’s brand. David immediately recognized what a bizarre reaction that was to have when hearing that two people he has never met were seen making out. David explores this bizarre phenomenon, which he believes is actually a new form of sexism, in this week’s column.

Guest Post – Celebrate thy booty
A wise poet once said: “I like big butts and I can not lie / You other brothers can’t deny / That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist / And a round thing in your face / You get sprung.” But having a big butt isn’t all anaconda rides and expensive calls to 1-900-MIXALOT. It turns out that there’s a dark side to having an ample backside – which includes, among other perils, the inability to track down clothes that fit in trendy department stores. Today, guest writer Karla Schroeder explores the the upside and downside of having a big backside.

Hobo Radio 254 – Joe loves crappy podcasts
As films like The Avengers have taught us, it takes a great cosmic threat to get a powerful team assembled. This week on the show, Joel Murphy and Lars unite with a titan of webcomics – Joe Dunn from Digital Pimp Online – to solve a global crisis. That crisis is how rich people can watch new movies without having to mingle with the unwashed masses. One company is offering a device that costs $35,000, but our dynamic trio has found another way. They also discuss the life of a web cartoonist, the future of Kickstarter campaigns and the films of M.Night Shyamalan.
