The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which has been on high alert ever since Janet Jackson ripped off her top at the Super Bowl, is considering loosening their restrictions on network television. This has already upset many parent groups, who fear their children will be exposed to copious amounts of sex and vulgar language. This week, Joel Murphy addresses those parents with a simple, straightforward message: “I don’t care about your kids.”

The seventh season of Doctor Who came to an end on Saturday with enough wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff to make your head explode. The Doctor and Clara ventured to the one place he should never go – Trenzalore – to face an old villain and a new set of monsters known as the Whisper Men. Along the way, Clara’s secret was revealed and a new character was introduced as we all prepare for the big 50th anniversary special in November. Joel Murphy recaps the finale, looks at all of the potential time travel paradoxes and offers a theory on the identity of the new mystery character.

Dr. Algernop Krieger, the one-man R&D department for ISIS on the FX show Archer, is by far the most lovable mad scientist Hitler clone on television. Actor, improviser and puppeteer Matt “Lucky” Yates voices Krieger on the show. And while he doesn’t share his on-screen counterpart’s interests in resurrecting the dead, selling arms to the highest bidder or bickering with his hologram bride, Yates has led a colorful life in his own right. In addition to his work on Archer, Yates recently opened up to us about his work as an additional puppeteer on Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, the time he almost named himself Sheriff Yates and the year and a half he was married to a local on a Cherokee Indian reservation.

From playing in rock bands to being a noted radio personality to doing voice work for Space Jam, Ren and Stimpy and Futurama, West has made a living off of his impressive pipes. We recently talked to him about his career and his personal struggles. The print version of that interview was split into two parts. You can read part one here and part two here. But now, you can also listen to the interview in it’s entirety in today’s Hobo Radio podcast. When is a ghost story not really a ghost story? When it’s part of an episode of Doctor Who. This week, The Doctor and Clara travel to 1974 to investigate the “Witch of the Well” inside Caliburn mansion. But it quickly becomes apparent that things are not at all what they seem. The actual explanation for the witch ends up being full of “wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey” goodness. We have a complete breakdown of “Hide,” as well as some in-depth musings on the scientific explanation of the supernatural phenomenon in the episode, in our review.

After the utter train wreck that was Jack Reacher, Tom Cruise is back playing another bad ass hero named Jack in Oblivion. This time Cruise finds himself mining the last remaining resources from a post-apocalyptic Earth where things are not quite what they seem. Find out if this Jack is any more entertaining than Cruise’s last on-screen role (which, let’s be honest, it could hardly be any worse – especially with Morgan Freeman in the cast) in our in-depth review.
