Hello everyone,
This week we talk to Jason Isaacs, star of the NBC show Awake. In it, Isaacs’ character can’t tell if he is awake or asleep. I can totally relate. I often end up sleep walking, sleep talking and, on occasion, even sleep eating.
There was this one time where I had a very vivid dream that I was eating the Stay Puft Marshmallow man piece by piece. When I woke up, all of my pillows were missing and I had a terrible stomach ache.
Here’s what’s new on HoboTrashcan.com this week:
One on One with Jason Isaacs
From playing one of Voldemort’s underlings to a soldier on the wrong side of the Revolutionary War, Jason Isaacs is no stranger to no-win situations. But perhaps no character he’s played has been trapped in such a tragic circumstance as Awake‘s Michael Britten, a homicide detective living in two worlds, one where his wife is still alive and the other where his son is still alive. Chances are, one of these worlds isn’t real, but accepting that fact means losing someone he loves forever.
We recently talked to Isaacs about Awake, the Harry Potter franchise and his habit of stealing skateboards from teenagers on the boardwalk.
Justified – “Measures”: 46 and change
Everyone looks to get Robert Quarles out of the picture in this week’s Justified, but they all end up getting in each other’s way. We have a complete breakdown and analysis of all of this week’s action in a new Boob Tube Breakdown.
Positive Cynicism – No, you don’t get access to our private thoughts
It was recently revealed that corporations are now asking job applicants for their Facebook logins in order to access their account and see everything they are posting. Aaron R. Davis is not happy about this corporate intrusion into people’s personal lives.
Guest Blog Post – Second guessing Friday Night Lights
With his love of high school football and fear the show would get it wrong, Brian Shea was hesitant to give Friday Night Lights a try. He finally made the plunge and was quickly sucked in to the show. He shares his thoughts on the series in a special guest column.
