Week 81 Spotlight: Radio killed the radio star
Driving from Boston to Virginia, Joel Murphy had a chance to sample the radio stations in several states and unfortunately he discovered that they all play the same exact music. From Jason Mraz to Lynyrd Skynyrd to George Michael, the same exact songs by the same artists kept cropping up over and over again in every state. Murphy believes that market research and a lack of creativity have ruined radio.
Meanwhile, Lars Periwinkle is dealing with his own problems – namely, the DMV. Periwinkle went into the DMW to fix what should have been an easy problem and left there five hours later with nothing resolved.
What happened to Periwinkle at the DMV? Will Nicholas Cage be in the next Batman movie? Why are our two co-host planning a trip together to Iowa? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
