After giving them two fantastic Batman films that they have rewatched and enjoyed countless times, you would think Christopher Nolan would have earned Joel Murphy and Lars’ trust at this point. Yet, when news broke yesterday that Anne Hathaway had been cast as Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy had been cast as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, our dynamic duo couldn’t help but scratch their heads and wonder what their beloved director was thinking.
Joel and Lars discuss these latest Batman developments and speculate on what this means for Nolan’s third and final Batman film. They also discuss Kevin Smith’s recent attack on Bruce Willis and Ricky Gervais attack on all of Hollywood at this year’s Golden Globes.
What does Catwoman add to a Batman film? Can Tom Hardy convincingly play Bane? Why is Anne Hathaway so awesome? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
