We can all agree that movie trailers are misleading. They hype up the good parts, hide the bad and twist the story around to make it appeal to as large of an audience as possible. They all have a set rhythm and formula; pieces of the film are just inserted into predetermined spots. In short, the makers of movie trailers are bastards. That’s why one woman has sued the people who made the trailer for Drive, which she believed would be just like The Fast and the Furious.

Joel Murphy and Lars discuss the lawsuit on this week’s show. They also break down some of the biggest cliches in trailers today. The dynamic duo also discuss the new Avengers trailer, Columbus Day and Halloween-themed Fleshlights.

Who is buying monster-themed Fleshlights? What qualifies as a seminal moment? What is Lars’ new catchphrase? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.
